My name is Thijs, and I'm the founder of Kloan. Thanks for taking a moment to read a little about my brand!

I know the name Kloan. might sound a bit confusing at first - like, why the strange spelling of "Clone" right? Well, let me explain.

Growing up, I was pretty reserved. I wasn’t the most social person, and I often wondered what it would be like to be one of the "popular" kids. But as I got older, I realized something: everyone has quirks. And the truth is, no one’s really paying that much attention to you— people are too busy worrying about themselves. We all stress about how we’re perceived, but most of the time, everyone else is doing the exact same thing. By staying reserved, you’re only holding yourself back and missing out on the best parts of life.

So I made a decision. I was done hiding. From then on, I promised myself I’d never be afraid of what others might think. And if someone doesn’t like me for who I am? That’s fine. I probably don’t want to get to know them anyway.

That mindset is what sparked Kloan—a brand for those who want to express themselves, unapologetically. All that was missing was the right place to truly disconnect and just be me. Then it clicked: festivals and raves. They’re one of the few places where different communities come together, united by the same goal—enjoy the weekend, live in the moment. At festivals and raves, everyone’s too busy having a good time to judge. It’s freedom, it’s acceptance, and it’s exactly where Kloan belongs.

The name Kloan plays on the idea of reflection. Like holding a mirror up to yourself and embracing what you see. It’s about showing the side of you that you usually keep to yourself — the real you. The version you’d be if you could “clone” yourself without fear, without filters, without second-guessing.

And that little dot in Kloan.? It says everything:
